Shed fire in Monarto - 29 December 2024.
CFS crews were alerted to reports of a fire in a shed of a rural residential property in Monarto, approximately 63 km south-east of Adelaide just before midnight.
A joint response from the CFS and MFS saw approximately twenty-five firefighters on 7 fire trucks working together to extinguish a large shed which upon arrival was found to be fully involved with fire. The shed is purported to contain multiple high value items, however damages have yet to be determined. Firefighters effectively contained the fire to the shed, actively preventing any further spread of fire to closely surrounding vehicles and structures.
SA Police and SA Ambulance are assisting on scene, with one property occupant treated for minor burns on site and transported to the hospital. Crews will be on site for some time extinguishing hot spots and Fire Investigators are currently enroute to determine cause.
