Large Haystack Fire North of Port Wakefield in the Mid North
ISSUED FOR NANTAWARRA
At 2pm on Sunday 28 November, CFS crews and Farm Fire Units began responding to a large haystack fire located halfway between Port Wakefield and Snowtown in the Mid North of South Australia.
The fire is currently burning through approximately 100 large bales of hay and smoke will be visible in the area for approximately 20-30km for the remainder of the day and into tomorrow.
CFS crews will remain on scene overnight and tomorrow until the fire is extinguished.
