ISSUED FOR KEILIRA
A Bushfire Advice Message is current for the Robertson Rd, Keilira fire, which continues to burn in areas of scrub within the fire perimeter. Crews will continue to extinguish this fire for the next few days, using heavy machinery to create clear breaks outside of the fireground.
This fire has so far burnt approximately 24,750 hectares, with a total fire perimeter of 76.24km.
Rapid damage assessment teams will be on the fire ground to assess items damaged during daylight hours.
There is still significant smoke in the area which may limit visibility across the Riddoch Highway and surrounding areas for the next few days.
Local road closures are in place, details can be found at https://www.traffic.sa.gov.au/ .
Burnt trees within the fireground can pose a hazard to the public and to fire crews. Do not enter the fireground until road side trees have been assessed. Please also be aware of emergency vehicles operating on and near the area.
