Incident Update
Issued for Kanmantoo near 3km north-west of Callington in the Mount Lofty Ranges.
A warning message has been issued for this incident. Refer to the CFS website cfs.sa.gov.au for the most up to date warning information.
The CFS has responded to a mulch fire 3km north-west of Callington in the Murraylands and Mount Lofty Ranges districts.
Approximatly 35 CFS volunteers on 7 trucks, supported by Farm Fire Units and mining machinery are working to extinguish the remaining fire in the mulch piles and will remain on scene to monitor conditions throughout the afternoon.
Roads are currently open around this incident however this may change at short notice. Continue to monitor road closures at: traffic.sa.gov.au
Emergency services may be working on and around roads in the area, and motorists are advised to stay away. If you need to travel on roads in the area, please take care and drive to the local conditions.
Smoke is impacting roads in the area, and visibility may be reduced. To ensure your safety and that of firefighters and other emergency personnel who are working in the area, please do not enter the area unless necessary.
