Incident Update for grass fire at Hacklins Corner
ISSUED FOR HACKLINS CORNER NEAR SPALDING IN THE STATES MID NORTH
At approximately 3 o'clock this afternoon CFS firefighters were alerted to a grass fire burning in the vicinity of wind turbines at Hacklins Corner, near Spalding in the state's Mid North. Local fire crews were initially supported by firefighting aircraft who completed 4 drops onto the fireground.
30 firefighters on 6 fire trucks and 2 command vehicles currently remain in attendance at this fire and will be on scene for the next few hours mopping up in preparation for the forecasted fire weather expected across the Mid North district tomorrow (18/11/2021).
Local crews were also supported by more than 10 farm fire units. The CFS would like to thank them for their quick response, support and attendance at this fire.
