Dutton East Fire
The CFS has responded to a grass fire on the Sturt Highway at Dutton East, approximately 7km east of Truro in the Mid North of South Australia.
Approximately 45 Volunteers on 10 trucks, supported by 5 Aircraft including 3 bombers and 2 observation aircraft as well as a number of Farm Fire units are on scene and have successfully contained the fire to approximately 3 hectares.
CFS firefighters will remain on scene throughout the afternoon until the fireground is deemed safe.
Emergency services may be working on and around roads in the area, and motorists are advised to stay away. If you need to travel on roads in the area, please take care and drive to the local conditions.
The cause of the fire is yet to be determined and Fire Investigators will attend the scene as soon as it is safe to do so.
