Incident Update for the Carriewerloo Fire
ISSUED FOR CARRIEWERLOO ROAD, NORTH OF IRON KNOB IN THE NORTH WEST PASTORAL DISTRICT
CFS crews are currently in attendance at a Scrub and Grass Fire at the Carriewerloo Homestead approximately 35km North of Iron Knob in the states Far North.
This fire was reported at 3:15PM this afternoon and is believed to have been caused by lightning.
Approximately 30 firefighters on 5 fire appliances, 1 bulk water carrier and 1 command car are in attendance at this fire and are expected to remain on scene overnight.
The CFS advises that this fire does not currently pose a threat to the community but the public should be aware that their is a possibility of smoke to be present in the area.
